You've heard the news: plastic water bottles have been found to leach trace amounts of bisphenol-A (BPA), a chemical that has been shown to disrupt normal hormone function leading to a myriad of health problems in mice. If you've been thinking of kicking your Nalgene to the curb (the recycling curb, that is), now is the perfect time. In your friendly, neighborhood Touchstone gym, you will find two sizes of of the 100% stainless Steel Kleen Kanteens priced to sell at $15.50 for 27 oz. or $22.50 for 40 oz. Who doesn't want a clean, BPA-free and odor free glug of h20 that's better for your health and better for the environment than those ubiquitous plastic water bottles?

  The Pontas are Here
Based on Chris Sharmas’ climbing expertise and design ideas, Evolv has created a shoe for him which he used to send "Es Pontas", his deep-water solo project route in Mallorca, Spain. This January you too can experience this outstanding overall performance shoe.

The Pontas fuses precision, power, and responsiveness with an excellent glove-like fit. The back of the shoe fits securely from the base of the heel to the achilles without discomfort and dead space. It’s equipped with an extended toe rand for toe-hooking without feeling excessive as well as tri-grooves for relieving pressure off the big toe. The 3/4 length semi stiff midsole provides the ideal balance of edging power and responsiveness from toes to arch.

The Evolv PONTAS will inspire confidence on technical climbs with micro-edges as well as steep toe hooking climbs. At $115 you won’t want to miss out.

  Last Minute Gift Idea
The Grimper Game is the perfect holiday gift for your favorite climber. At 29.95 this tabletop game strengthens your grip as it humbles and humiliates even the most serious climber. To play this game that pits climbers' grips against each other simply line up the center marks and using your hand's gripping strength pull your opponent off sides, you can also even the odds by assigning the (presumed) stronger player a more difficult finger positioning.

Don’t miss out on hours of fun with this fingery game of tug-o-war.
